ABOUT CHANDSI

Chandsi Kataria is presently a class 12^th student at the prestigious Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. She is an ardent and enthusiastic learner, her initial engagement with dance started at the tender age of six with Jazz at Danceworx . It was then that she got drawn towards the beauty of Indian classical dance form. She was intrigued by the beauty, music, poetry and extensive costumes that she chose to be a Bharatanatyam dancer. Now after 8 years of extensive training she dances with grace and poise, embodying her passion with complete love and devotion, winning laurels for herself and everyone.

Chandsi was under the watchful, Strict yet tender eye of Late Guru Jamuna Krishnan till 15th May 2019 and now under Ragini Chandrashekar guru ji's daughter. She feels blessed to be under the tutelage of such eminent gurus whom she hopes to emulate in every possible way. Her dedication and regularity towards learning has made her a fast and an earnest learner. She has been performing at different platforms through her school, Kalangan Trust and has been a part of many esteemed competitions, festivals and group performances.

Chandsi has a strong hold over her movements, poises gracefully in one statuesque pose after another with utter ease. Her face reflects myriad moods of “ABHINAYA” convincingly portraying any emotion. Her hands and feet quicksilver in their response to the Rhythm and beat of the verses.
